Better Together Series- “A Change For The Better” Pt. 2 Ephesians 5:1-21

In his classic book “The Screwtape Letters”, CS Lewis highlights the following dialogue between the demon Screwtape and his nephew, Wormwood (a temptor in training):

“He wants them to learn to walk and must therefore take away His hand; and if only the will to walk is really there He is pleased even with their stumbles. Do not be deceived, Wormwood. Our cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending, to do our Enemy’s (Jesus) will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys.”

Sometimes you don’t feel God’s presence. Sometimes you don’t feel His gentle hand holding you. Sometimes you don’t feel like He’s anywhere near. Sometimes you look at our world and wonder why He doesn’t show up and put an end to it all.
We look for answers, we question His presence, but it’s imperative that WE KEEP WALKING! Even when the world turns its back on Him, KEEP WALKING! When we witness awful events in our world and wonder where God is… KEEP WALKING! Paul challenges us to remember that our walk is as equally important as our talk. In this sermon we’ll continue our ‪#‎BetterTogether‬ series as we look at Ephesians 5:1-2, “A Change For The Better” Pt. 2.
