Last week we looked at two trees that were placed in specific locations in the Garden of Eden. God warned man about the precious gift that he was about to be given… the gift of choice. Giving a man options is the ultimate test of love. However, any abuse of this free will to choose would not be without consequences. The test was given and Adam and Eve failed miserably. Suddenly their whole world changed. They would now have to exercise this gift of choice in a world of temptations. The cursed earth seemed unbearable, but before Adam and Eve were driven out of the Garden, God made them a promise…the promise of another gift. Tomorrow in the 11am gathering, we will unwrap this second gift as we dive into Luke 2:1-20, “The Tree That Held Promise”.
