This week we will put Ecclesiastes on pause and turn our attention to Christmas. The word “advent” simply means, the coming of a notable person, thing, or event. Over the next three weeks we are going to be celebrating this season of advent by looking at the significance of how God used specific trees in the Bible to serve a greater purpose than simply bearing fruit. Each week we will unwrap a gift that God gives us and how we can apply that gift in our day to day journey. This Sunday in our #GIVINGTREE advent series, we will be looking to the book of Genesis to discover the first gift from God. This gift is a tricky one. If used correctly, great things can happen. If abused, it can be deadly. What is it? Come Sunday and let’s unwrap this gift together.
