So far in our #Easter series we have journeyed from the parade to the upper room, and from the garden of Gethsemane to the cross. This Sunday we’ll reach our destination… the tomb. So… (pt1) “When Things Don’t Go As Planned” (pt2)”… And Life Goes From Comfortable To Chaotic”, (pt3)”You Have A Decision To Make.”
Our series will conclude this Sunday with (pt4) “What Will You Choose?”
Lee Strobel once said,
“Jesus Christ did not come into this world to make bad people good; He came into this world to make dead people LIVE!”
After the brutal crucifixion of Jesus, Luke records two men walking on a journey to a place called Emmaus. They were broken, bitter, frustrated, sorrowful, hurting and downright depressed. In fact, they were too depressed to notice that hope walked among them. This Sunday we’re going to look at their story and identify what we can learn from it. Why? Because their story is our story.
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living, just because He lives
Choose to LIVE today!
